Hermès Private Sale Los Angeles 2026: Discounts, Rules & What Was Left on Day 3
The first one in LA in a decade. How the invite works, what was on the tables and what it actually cost.
Hermès FINALLY brought their private sale to Los Angeles, and yes, it’s a big deal because it hasn’t been here in like a decade 🤯 So of course I went, and I’m spilling ALLLLLL the tea on how to get an invite, security, the rules, the discounts, what was actually left by Day 3, and what was worth it and what wasn’t.
How to get an invite to the Hermès private sale
First things first: this sale is invite ONLY, and you have to be an existing client with a spend with the brand. Personally, I’ve been a client for a few years now and I’m JUST now getting an invite (maybe because I’m based in LA and it’s their first time doing it here, I honestly don’t know) 😩
From what I’ve heard, corporate is the one that decides who gets invited, which makes sense. My guess is that they look at who buys consistently AND who buys across different categories: ready to wear, home, silks, shoes. Because that’s what the sale offers. There are NO bags offered at the sale. So if you only ever shop Hermès for bags… yeah, I doubt you’d get an invite, because you’d get there and basically not buy anything.
The invite came by email about a month before the sale, and of course this was the ONE time I hadn’t checked my email in a few days. I was SOOOOO mad, because by the time I saw it, Days 1 and 2 were completely booked 😩 Lesson learned: keep the email that you have on file with Hermès (and honestly every brand) one that you ACTUALLY check.
The good news? You could bring a plus one, so I brought my brother, who’s basically my shopping partner.
Once you’re invited, here’s how it works:
You get the email invite.
You sign up for a time slot.
They issue you a QR code.
When you arrive, you show your ID, it HAS to match your QR code, and your guest MUST arrive with you or they will not be let in.
The email I almost missed 😩
Security was no joke
The sale was in a warehouse in Glendale, and it was VERYYYYY organized. Security was TIGHT:
No bags, no sunglasses and no hats. You check them in.
They put your phone in a case that blocks the camera on the front AND back. Obviously no cameras either.
You walk through a detector.
You get a color coded wristband for your shopping window.
The color coded wristband = your 2 hour window. When it’s time, it’s TIME 😩
The Rules
Two hour shopping windows. Slots ran from 9am to 5pm, and the sale ran October 13 to 17. When your window starts closing, they WILL politely ask you to head to checkout.
No Hermès allowed. You can’t wear any Hermès inside. They don’t want any confusion over what you walked in with versus what’s part of the sale, and honestly? I can appreciate that.
Limits on certain styles. Orans were one pair per person, and there were limits on Chypres and Izmirs too, plus a few other things.
Once you leave a section, you can’t go back. The whole sale flows in one direction. Once you’re past home, you can’t go back to ready to wear, shoes or home.
Card only, and everything is final sale.
How the sale is laid out
You walk in to men’s ready to wear, hats and ties. Then women’s ready to wear and hats (with some equestrian wear too). Then men’s shoes, then women’s shoes, then home. Once you leave home, you can’t go back. After that, it’s fashion jewelry, then bag charms and Twillys, then scarves (silks, cashmeres and more), and then checkout.
There were fitting rooms with mirrors and good lighting, and a separate area to try on shoes, but you could only try them on the carpet they laid out. That area had a mirror too.
“Once you leave home, you can’t go back.”
The discounts (the good stuff 😂)
Ready to wear: 60% off
Hats: 50% off
Shoes: 30 to 50% off, depending on style
Also: silks and scarves, fashion jewelry, home goods (blankets, pillows and towels), bag charms and men’s ties
For reference, my Orans were $630 before tax. And yes, they charged $0.10 for a bag 😂
What was actually left by Day 3
We went on Day 3, so the women’s ready to wear was pretty much picked over, and I personally wasn’t too fond of what was left. BUT the men’s section…. BOMBBBB! Bro Bro got a pair of Izmir sandals, a shirt, a sweater, a jacket, and an athleisure set. The variety was SO good. 10/10.
The shoes were also really good, especially the Orans (probably because of that one pair per person rule). Chypres, on the other hand, did NOT happen for me 😭 I have a big foot and there weren’t any left in my size but hey, you get what you can get!
What was worth it and what wasn’t
Worth it:
The Orans, hands down. The color selection had some HITTERS. I got a pair in Bleu Glacier. They also had one of my favorites, Rose Porcelaine in suede goatskin (sooo gorgeous), and the crazy Brun Fumé / Noir leopard print tufted suede goatskin.
The men’s section. Great staples and great variety.
The gold Chypres I spotted were ICONIC. Not in my size, unfortunately.
Not worth it:
Bag charms. Not worth it AT ALL.
Home. Mehhhh. It only makes sense if you’re already looking and/or open to certain colors and prints.
Women’s ready to wear by Day 3.
Getting in and out
They were SO efficient. I had no line getting in. Getting out took a bit, because there are about 50 million checkpoints 😂:
They check everything you want to buy and confirm your item count and total, then give you a slip.
You take the slip to the register, where they check your items again against it, and then you pay.
After you pay, there’s ANOTHER check of your receipt and everything in your bag.
They take the case off your phone, and you go through a detector.
You pick up your bags, sunglasses, and hats.
Then you’re out to valet, which was $15.
It was a good amount of people. Not so many that it felt crowded or like too much, but the women’s fitting room did have a line.
My tips for the next one
Keep your email updated with Hermès and check it. Days 1 and 2 booked up before I even saw my invite.
Book the earliest day you can. That’s where the women’s ready to wear is.
Bring the ID that matches your QR code. No match, no entry.
Leave ALL your Hermès at home, plus your bag, sunglasses and hat.
Shop in order. Grab what you love the first time you see it.
Know your sizes before you walk in. Everything is organized by size.
Watch your two hour window.
Bring a card. No cash. Apple Pay is fine.
Bring your plus one. Bro Bro made the whole day!
So… is it worth going?
Honestly? YES. Even if you don’t walk out with a bag full, it’s worth going just to see what catches your eye, because you never know!
Me and Bro Bro, successfully shopped out 🛍️

Anything but Hermès, because you can’t wear it inside. You’ll also have to check your bag, sunglasses and hat at the door, so leave them at home if you can. Wear something easy to slip on and off for the fitting rooms, and shoes you can take off quickly, since you try shoes on the carpet they lay out. And yes, the girls came DRESSED, so have fun with it!
Now tell me: what would YOU have shopped for? Ready to wear, shoes, home or scarves!? And if you want the tea on the next one first, join the Girls 💕
